In March 2020 eleven makers in Belgrade started printing face visors for hospital staff from an open-source design and organized a Facebook group to match printers with assemblers and deliveries. Within a week the group had hundreds of producers. The first batches went to Klinički centar Srbije and regional public-health institutes.
By the group’s own count, more than 45,000 visors were delivered in the first month, funded by the members themselves. The designs were released as open source and the group moved on to full-face masks, a non-invasive respirator and disinfection gates under the name “Srbija hakuje koronu”.
